Criminal Law Attorney Mike Carr, former Collier County Judge

Mike Carr served as a Collier County Judge for 12 years. Prior to being elected by the voters of Collier County to serve as judge, he was in private practice with a focus on criminal law. Mike also served as a prosecutor in Collier County, and prior to that was a deputy sheriff in Alachua County for more than a decade. Mike has the unique experience and qualifications to help you with your criminal case.

Mike is a member of the Governor's Judicial Nominating Commission for the 20th Judicial Circuit. As a member of the JNC, Commissioner Carr makes recommendations to the governor to fill judicial vacancies in the five counties that make up the 20th Judicial Circuit.

Mike served in U.S. Navy and did two tours in Vietnam.

After serving in Vietnam, Mike attended the University of Florida under the G.I. Bill. After graduation, he became a deputy sheriff, and at the same time attended law school at the University of Florida, going to school during the day, and working at night.
